Winter time brings with it dry, itchy skin.  While most of us are so bundled up, dry winter skin is rarely visible,but it can still be an irritation.  Take care of your skin this time of year by adding these few steps to your skin care regimen and you will find soft, smooth skin all season long!

 

Step 1: Buy a New Water Bottle. Simply treating yourself to a new water bottle can encourage you to drink more water.  Keeping your body hydrated is the easiest way to improve your skin. You might even try a new flavored water if it gives you extra motivation. Coconut water has added health benefits, including electrolytes and potassium-making it Mother Nature’s sports drink.

Step 2: Take a Bath. As if you needed a good excuse to slip into a warm bath…Try adding a few drops of the essential oils you bought from your friend, or use 2-3 tablespoons of olive, grapeseed oil, or coconut oil to amp up the moisturizing factor.

Step 3: Eat More Nuts. Walnuts and flaxseed both contain omega-3 fatty acids, which boost your skin’s ability to hold on to moisture.
